After the construction of the new school premises in Lai Chi Kok, the school had to carry out interior renovations and add new furniture. The air became filled with harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), affecting the health of staffs and students.
Solution
The school originally installed eight NCCO ceiling air purifiers (model: EC 920). It was found that the indoor air quality drastically improved to a high level (according to EPD IAQ Reference). The school immediately purchased 73 additional air purifiers of the same model.
